What you will be able to do
After this lesson you should be able to open the Vendors tab on a solicitation draft, read that vendor matching is not connected, and use official directories plus the company Vendors list instead. Video and Ask AsherGate AI stay unavailable.
The tab is a placeholder
On a saved company draft, the workflow tabs are Requirements, Vendors, Pricing, Documents, Final Review, and Submission. Only Requirements is a completed example in this product phase. The Vendors tab is labeled soon. Its panel title is Vendor matching is coming soon. The description says this phase does not search vendors or subcontractors.
That tab does not read your draft files, does not query SAM.gov or SBA Small Business Search, and does not score partners. Solicitation analysis extracts requirements from uploaded PDF, Word, and Excel files. It does not recommend a subcontractor. The company Vendors page is a manual list your team types in. Company Intelligence summarizes stored vendor names. None of those screens is a match engine.
Keep using SAM.gov, SBA Small Business Search, and SUBNet for research. Keep using company Vendors and draft files to record names you already chose. AsherGate does not submit a bid.
Worked walkthrough: leave the placeholder and record the name yourself
Using the Marshfen story below, open draft AG-SCRN-26-0719, choose Vendors, and read the coming-soon panel. Then add the installer on the company Vendors page and keep the RFQ files on the draft.
Do not wait for the product to name a partner. Do not submit a bid.
Fictional example
Marshfen Pump Screens LLC and a Vendors tab that did not search
Marshfen Pump Screens LLC is a fictional pump-screen shop in Beaufort, South Carolina. It stores fictional RFQ AG-SCRN-26-0719 from a fictional Broad River Intake Desk for 6 traveling water screens, installed.
A teammate opens the draft, chooses the Vendors tab, and expects a list of nearby installers. The panel says vendor matching is coming soon and that this phase does not search vendors or subcontractors. Requirements is the only completed workflow example.
They add Tidebrace Installation Co on the company Vendors page, write the planned install role in notes, and leave the RFQ PDF on the draft. They do not treat analysis as a partner search. They do not submit a quotation.
