Training Academy/Price From the Documents/Why AsherGate does not calculate a bid price Intermediate6 min · Progress tracking is not available yet
What you will be able to do
After this lesson you should be able to open the Pricing tab on a draft, read that no bid price is calculated, and keep supplier quotes and arithmetic outside the product. AsherGate does not obtain supplier quotes. Video and Ask AsherGate AI stay unavailable.
What the product actually does with numbers
On a saved company draft, the Pricing workflow tab is labeled soon. Its panel title is Pricing worksheets are coming soon. The description says no cost buildup or bid price is calculated. Requirements is the only completed workflow example in this phase.
Analyze solicitation can extract quantities, units, pack sizes, and ordering periods from uploaded PDF, Word, and Excel files, with citations and review flags. The analysis instructions tell the model not to provide pricing. A flagged conversion is a warning to keep the source unit, not a computed quote. The product does not call suppliers, does not compare a vendor quote to a CLIN, and does not fill Section B.
Build the number in your own worksheet or on paper. Store the RFQ files here. Submit the quotation only in the method the notice names, outside AsherGate.
Worked walkthrough: leave the placeholder and add the file
Using the Ambercoil story below, open draft AG-TIE-26-0618, choose Pricing, and read the coming-soon panel. Then upload the supplier PDF to the draft so the quote sits next to the RFQ. Do the arithmetic elsewhere. Do not submit a bid.
Fictional example
Ambercoil Cable Ties Inc and a Pricing tab that did not total
Ambercoil Cable Ties Inc is a fictional electrical-tie shop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It stores fictional RFQ AG-TIE-26-0618 from a fictional Big Sioux Facilities Desk for 1,200 each nylon cable ties, 50-pound tensile, unit of measure each.
A teammate opens the draft, chooses Pricing, and looks for a cell that will multiply quantity by a supplier price. The panel says pricing worksheets are coming soon and that no cost buildup or bid price is calculated.
They upload the supplier quote PDF to the same draft, copy 1,200 each from the RFQ, and finish the math in a company spreadsheet that is not an AsherGate feature. They do not treat analysis as a quote. They do not submit a quotation from this workspace.
