After this lesson you should be able to list what AsherGate stores and analyzes in this product phase, list the official steps that still happen outside the product, and write the submission method from a notice without treating this workspace as the place an offer is sent.
AsherGate is a company workspace. You can create a solicitation draft, upload PDF, Word, Excel, and image files, and run AI analysis on saved PDF, Word (.docx), and Excel (.xlsx) files. That analysis is a starting extract of facts such as quantities, deadlines, and instructions. A bidder must compare it with the source documents. If analysis is refused, incomplete, or times out, the product leaves your files and any previously saved analysis unchanged.

Notices still live in the GPE at SAM.gov. Contracting officers still award. Offerors still register in SAM when they intend to bid as a prime. AsherGate does not search SAM.gov for you, does not import a notice URL, and does not file entity registration.
This phase also does not calculate a bid price, assemble a proposal package, match vendors, send email, post to a portal, or invoice after award. The Vendors workflow tab and the document generator are labeled Coming soon. Nothing in the product is a substitute for the contracting officer named in the files.
Using the Cedarloom story below, the draft holds the RFQ PDF, a size workbook, and Amendment 0002 PDF for AG-LIMIT-26-1007. Analysis can store files and extract a time, but it cannot send a bid. The RFQ says quotations go by email to the contracting officer listed in Section L, due 19 November 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Confirm that wording in the PDF. If the files named no method, treat the destination as Not found. Do not invent a portal, and do not treat any AsherGate control as a bid destination.
Fictional example
Cedarloom Printworks is a fictional banner shop in Portland, Maine. It stores a fictional RFQ, AG-LIMIT-26-1007, for 80 indoor vinyl banners from a fictional Fore River Graphics Desk. Three files sit in an AsherGate draft: the RFQ PDF, a size workbook, and Amendment 0002 PDF.
After analysis, a new teammate looks for a Submit bid control. There is none. The RFQ says quotations go by email to the contracting officer listed in Section L, due 19 November 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The extract shows that time, and the teammate confirms the same wording in the PDF.
The owner writes a team note that the files are stored, the extract was reviewed against the PDF, the notice names email, and AsherGate will not send the message. They keep working in the draft. They do not invent a portal because the file named email.
